![]() The Leading John Lyons Certified Natural
Horsemanship Trainer In North Carolina ![]() Like many young girls, Beth Collins wanted a horse more than anything. Belonging to a state department family stationed in the Dominican Republic, her parents surprised her with her first new best friend on her 12th birthday. It has been an involuntary passionate affair with everything equine ever since. Beth's background in horses ranges from dressage to competitive trail and gaited horses to race horses. After pursuing her equine science degree Beth still felt something was missing in her relationship with horses. She felt in her heart that there must be a kinder, gentler and more effective way to train and communicate with them. So, in 1998 she loaded her trailer with two unbroke equines and headed to John Lyon's ranch in Parachute, Colorado to be schooled in his famous "conditioned response" method. The year and a half long program opened the door to a new way of training horses, by listening and shaping their natural behaviors in a gentle, horse centric way. Now a certified John Lyons trainer in Shelby, North Carolina, Beth has helped countless horse lovers solve communication issues with their horses.
